encaustic tiles in, laundry room on its way
Comments (31)Where do I start?? I love your colorful, cheerful, fun laundry!! I could never have envisioned those tiles laid. and painting the cabinets just made a night and day difference. Then you went above and beyond with the wall treatment--love it!! Beautiful house, beautiful boys! Must also comment on your finger. Was it diagnosed as arthritis or is that just an assumption? I ask because it sounds like my middle finger. I developed a "trigger finger" after a project that required much repetitive motion. If so, it is treatable. Thinking of you and your little one and will be watching for more pics of your projects! Liz...See MoreCalling all cement, encaustic, Cuban tile owners - is it difficult?
Comments (6)I have not installed it or used it personally, but I did read an interesting blog post where someone used encaustic cemenet tile as their kitchen floor. They detailed the installation procedure and it did seem like it was a lot of work but possible to do! Maybe you will find it helpful! http://www.bowerpowerblog.com/2016/03/paint-tile-for-our-basement-kitchen/...See MoreWood Look Tile or Marble look Porcelain tile for Living and Kitchen ?
Comments (2)I have had wood look tile in my home for five years now. Went with Bedrosians Heathland Cherry Commercial Grade Porcelain tile. It has a hand scraped waviness to it so it is very "real" looking. The Commercial grade porcelain tile is heaver duty than a standard tile so will take more wear and tear than a standard tile. IT comes in many colors. https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/list/porcelain/wood-look/ This company also has the tile that looks like marble too....See MoreHelp! What tile to select for bathroom? Encaustic, Ceramic, Wood tile?
Comments (12)Hi, Can you clarify for me, what colour is the wall paint? Blue? Grey? Can you give us the brand and colour code? Also, are you sticking with your current shower curtain or is that subject to change? I love those encaustic choices, but I wonder if the pattern might be too big for what looks like a small space. Some of those tiles, it takes 4 tiles square to get the pattern. If I assume that the size of the tile might be similar to the squares in your current linoleum, then you'll maybe only have one full pattern of the tile visible in a row and maybe 4 or 5 complete patterns in total on the floor. I don't know if they make smaller versions of the same tiles, so that you could benefit from more pattern in your space, or that might make it look very busy, depending on the tile. thanks...See Moreaprilneverends
