What 'Rose of Sharon' Type Hibiscus Do You Recommend?
Comments (2)I'd recommend one of the sterile types that doesn't drop seed. I don't know for sure if any of those are sterile. The best way to find out would be to ask a nursery. One ROS that I know for sure is sterile is Lavender Chiffon, which has beautiful double flowers. I've heard bad things about Spring Hill, so if it were me, I'd buy from a local nursery rather than them....See MoreWhat do you think - shower curtain or glass door
Comments (13)The vanity is dark (but not espresso or ebony) wood in something between transitional and contemporary style, nothing traditional or vintage, but not super modern either) , although we're definitely leaning toward a modern vibe this go-around. As for the cost, I love the cost of the shower curtain liner from Target ($2.39 plus $.99 for the rings) but a shower door was in the original budget, so that's good (we're on budget). Thanks for all your thoughts. We'll probably live with the curtain for a few weeks and then decide, but I'd guess we'll go for the door....See MoreWhat types of Laminate flooring do you recommend?
Comments (3)The "good ones". That is to say anything from Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, etc) that can be as expensive as $4/sf. I also like to see HIGH end underlayment such as 6mm cork underlay used with laminate. The 6mm cork underlay can make a $0.79/sf laminate feel like a "solid" floor. Other than that...stay away from laminates in kitchens. Your inspiration photo would indicate you would like to use the product in a kitchen....See MoreWhat type of Kitchen Sink - Material Wise - do you all recommend?
Comments (14)I have had stainless. I now have granite composite for my prep sink and porcelain on cast iron for my clean up sink, both of them in white. The stainless itself was fine but with my hard water I was constantly battling water spots, which got old in a hurry. So for me the granite and porcelain are easier to maintain - or at least, if there are water spots they can’t be seen. Either way - stainless or other material - I think your single bowl, undermount choice is definitely the way to go! I don’t think I will ever go back to a top mount (drop in) double bowl sink!...See Morestrategery
