What do you think of your walk-in shower?
Comments (19)This is hard to quantify. If you keep your house at summer temps all year -- or are in a warm climate to begin with -- I suppose you'd not be cold anywhere in the house. If you are someone who wears 'long underwear' all winter, and whose circulation is underpar -- I suppose you'd be cold everywhere...especially when naked and wet. I have a friend who is always cold. She hated their walk-in shower and *loved* our completely enclosed 'steam' shower, even without the steam on. Maybe you have to consult with your HVAC sub. Having heated flooring in a bathroom should certainly help if it goes under the shower area....See MoreWhat do you think of these shower curtains I made?
Comments (12)Sweetbean - I like the idea of ribbon rings instead of plastic or metal. teacats - I liked some of those shark prints you linked. My son is 6 but I don't want it the room to look too young for him and maybe a real shark print might help. I have to really start searching for some themed bath accessories. I could always do some solid color ones but where's the fun in that! The shark shower curtain was made out of a Pottery Barn shark twin flat bed sheet and I added fabric to the sides and top header. I have an attached valance on it. I wonder if I should put a strip of ribbon across the bottom of the valance to distinquish it from the bottom. Or would that be too much? I am getting excited about moving in a new house. Endless possibilities!...See MoreWhat do you think of glass cabinet doors near the stove?
Comments (8)I have glass doors on the cabinets on each side of my stove. I used frosted glass though, and it is even worse than clear glass about showing grease spots. I have no trouble at all keeping the doors clean. I have a really good hood though, so that probably makes a difference. As long as you have a strong hood that pulls out the smoke and grease, you should have no trouble at all with the glass staying clean....See Moredo you have a sliding glass shower door?
Comments (15)Thank you Chispa - I will look to see if there is someone that installs that kind around here. The person that came out today said that the sliding would not work because the shorter side is still too long. It is a rectangle, but I guess too deep? he is saying we should put the door all the way to the right and it will be the most frameless and the door will swing in and out. But I think the showerhead is more over that way that is not the best answer. (I probably should have hired a designer and figured all of this out in the beginning :( ) I love the corner door that chispa linked. I need to look in to that more. thank you all for the help!!!! :)...See Morelisadlu
