Using an adjustable base with an existing wood frame bed

I’m buying a new mattress and the bedding store has a promotion for a free adjustable bed frame that will apparently go inside a conventional wood bed frame in place of a box spring. My concern is that the adjustable bed has three legs on each side that I think will show below the side rail of the bed and I don’t think I’m going to like the look. Removing the legs and putting the adjustable on the frame itself is an option but I don’t think I want to put so much weight on the frame. Here is the bed.

Anyone had experience with this? Buying two box springs for a king mattress is going to add $500 to the cost. Thanks.
