Stained pine six panel doors with chunky white trim?

My rustic Colorado home has stained six panel pine doors, wooden casement windows stained a similar color, and natural alder trim (blonder than the photo indicates). It also has carpet.

I have settled on a live sawn white oak hardwood floor and will stain it a golden oak color.

I really don't like the natural blond alder trim. I considered removing it, stripping it, and staining (dyeing) it a darker color, then realized I was out of my mind. Now I lean toward replacing it.

So I am thinking of installing the oak floor that I love, keeping the wooden doors and windows (which are fairly attractive) and changing the baseboard and door casings to white (while making it wider). I may change the windows casings as well, but haven't decided.

I'm also planning to change the cheap french doors to a sliding patio door with a pine sash, stained the same color as the doors.

Do you think this plan will work? Any suggestions for a trim package? I lean toward a simplified Craftsman style, block profiles.

Should I change the hinges and knobs of the doors?

Open to all suggestions.
