Thanks for the responses! Funcolors, you're amazing--we have a pantry painted in Shaker Beige because I thought I might want to use it for the LR and DR, but it turned out to look a bit too dark. When I put the camel curtains next to it, though, they look beautiful together! I'm not sure if I can convince DH to use Shaker Beige in the bedroom because he's convinced it's too dark. I'm sure it will look different in a lighter room, though. Maybe I'll try a swatch...(after we've finished stripping the blasted wallpaper). The Quincy Tan is very nice, indecisive101, but it's darker than Shaker Beige, so I don't think that will fly with DH. Thanks!

A Sherwin Williams employee told me that he really does not recommend their semi-gloss. The house will be painted in a satin finish, and I wanted the semi-gloss on the trim. Our painters have no problem using the Benjamin Moore paint, and I thought it would be a good product since we are located near the ocean. Thanks for your suggestion. I could have Benjamin Moore color match the most commonly used white that goes with Sea Salt. However, now I am leaning toward BM Super White. Have you used Sea Salt with white in your consulting business? If so, what would you recommend? Thanks for any help.

I'm looking for a neutral gray/off-white with an LRV of 70-75 that doesn't read purple (many grays and grieges do!), blue, or pink. I don't want a throwback to "builder's taupe." And after seeing White Duck on the wall in my house, I'd definitely characterize it as tan. In photos online, it looks like a warm off-white with a hint of green. In my house, it's brownish beige. I might have liked it 20 years ago.

We closed on our house today wahoooo! I only got to spend about an hour there but looked quickly at the samples for trim/doors/ceilings. I think I've narrowed it down to three possibilities: BM Simply White, SW Extra White and BM Super White. I thought about BM Chantilly Lace too. Basically, looking at the finishings, my first gut is that BM Simply White looks the best. I just worry it may look too yellow once up on everything. At least that's what I read (and you know how reliable the internet is). First question: has anyone had experience with BM Simply White? Does it just read warm or do you see the yellow in it when it's one trim/doors/ceilings? So I may go that direction, or wonder if I should go with a cleaner white but something close. Something still a little warm... As for the runners up, from what I can see SW Extra White and BM Super White are very similar but Extra White maybe looks a little warmer? Maybe because it has more chroma? Is this understanding accurate, Lori A. Sawaya?? And it seems to me that the order of warmth would go SW Extra White, BM Super White, BM Chantilly Lace... is that a correct reading? Again for context - East/West exposures with a lot of shade. Wall colors aren't chosen but would likely be something along the lines of BM Edgecomb Gray, BM Ballet White, BM Chelsea Gray, BM Natural Cream. Daughter's room will be BM Opal. I'll try to take some pics of the finishings tomorrow but would love any thoughts on this. Thanks!
