Has anyone used SW Alabaster trim with SW Natural Choice walls?
Comments (6)We used SW Natural Choice on walls, and BM Cloud White on trim (a warm white) but use what you love or paint a small area and see what you think. In our house the natural choice leans very slightly green.....we used 2/3 strength in the rest of the house, except for the dining room.....we live in high desert and low humidity....which can affect how colors look! Here is 2/3 strength of natural choice with cloud white trim Here is full strength natural choice with cloud white trim....See MoreSW Dover White walls with SW Alabaster trim?
Comments (10)First you need clarity on product - what's being used where and what sheen. Then you need samples in each product that will be used on cabinets, walls and trim. These two colors are so similar, that a difference in product is going to matter more than usual. In other words, you can't judge or anticipate results - in this instance - based on color data values derived from paint color chips. Decided on cabinet color first and let that inform trim and wall color. Because you have the most limited choice with cabinet color....See MoreSW White Trim color for BM Ashwood or BM Halo
Comments (21)if I am seeing yellow or seeing more gray and the more gray the more blue or green the color appears. ..... to you. That's the actual color appearance according to your color acuity which is defined by the context your viewing the color and the lighting where YOU are. Some people would describe how those colors actually look to them the same as you - they would agree. But some won't. Because they're viewing the colors in a different context and lighting than you. For example, comparing Extra White or Rhinestone to Lily White makes it easy to see why they belong to the Green-Yellow and Green hue families respectively. In context of a color that is factually blue, they are unlikely to look blue. We have to leave room for how other people see color in their actual space - which is different from you. Acknowledging that actual color perception is different from factual color, not only leaves room for everyone's perception of color but it also provides an elastic framework to manage the fact that color appearance is not static. How Jennifer sees color is actual color. It's a real. A completely validate-able and worthy of acknowledgement thing. LCh is the factual color framework we use to manage the diversity in color acuity person to person, context to context, lighting scenario to lighting scenario....See MoreCan SW Origami White work with SW Pure White trim?
Comments (79)For my house. I do not. Purple is my most hated color lol. There was a moment when I could see a tad gray undertone. I had all my lights changed when we moved in. That went away after. For my house, which faces north. Origami is a beautiful soft off white. It carry’s more of a beige undertone. I have it in many rooms. It’s the perfect color for me. I am also not of fan of yellow undertones. Agreeable gray definitely pulls purple and pinks. Origami doesn’t. I really hope this helps you!! Paint picking is a pain in the A…S!!! I get it! 😁 Wishing you the best of luck!...See MoreJennifer Hogan
