Drip Irrigation question re: use of an inline anti-siphon device

I recently installed a basic drip irrigation system attached to my outdoor anti-siphon faucet. I have noticed that water drips around the packing nut on the handle when the inline automatic timer, back flow prevention device, pressure regulator, and hose adapter are all connected. Should I remove the inline back flow prevention device (below the timer)? Will the anti-siphon device on the faucet suffice? Thanks in advance!
