Are you going to paint the cabinets? Backsplash needs to go as do all the chochtkees. Is that granite? Anyway, alabaster by SW is a really nice bright creamy color, not to white. Nice subway tile would be cute for backsplash

I wasn't planning on painting the cabinets. We just bought the house, so these are just photos I took on our initial viewing. (So the chochtkees are not mine. haha)

How costly is it to paint the cabinets? Trying to decide how much to do before we move it. The bathroom floor tile needs to be removed as well, so that is why I am contemplating getting the backsplash tile redone as well.

Thanks for the alabaster suggestion. I see a little yellow in alabaster is that correct? Would a color more along the beige/gray work?

The counters are quartz.

The wood isn’t bad.
Paint the walls a creamy white. For sure in the kitchen.
Other rooms maybe greens and blues.
I’d wait to do the backsplash until you can do the countertops with them. So they coordinate... if that’s not now that’s fine!!
I’d probably change the cabinet hardware.

If you want to brighten up a space get better lighting first before choosing any wall color.If it is in the budget get some pot lights or if not then a good track light with at least 5 heads all the bulbs in either choice should be LEDs 4000K then go to wotk on wall color. Yes I think anew simpler backsplash would be a good start , removing all the clutter the next step nothing on top of the cabinets and as little as possible on the counters will instantly make the space feel brighter .I love a pale gray/ green for a perfect neutral with wood and white trim . Gray Wisp is a good one and if you just want it lighter then cut it 25% i would stay awy from whites or creams for sure.

Make sure your lighting is taken care of first. I can see greens, blues, aquas with your cabinets. It will make it a much brighter and happier place to be in. The color it is now, is very boring.

White is always a pretty and cool color! It will also match with anything else in the kitchen!

The cabinets and the hardware are good looking. I would not change them. I can see doing a lighter simple backsplash. Install LED pot lights if you can. I prefer 2700K, which gives off a warm white. I think 4000K is outdoor light and it is too bright for me. I recently changed all my bulbs to LED and was surprised how much brighter everything looked. But change the lights before you decide on color.

Cabinets do not HAVE to be painted. Accessible beige is a lovely color, very light Greige. But with your warm wood color I think alabaster would be better
