Need help choosing SW Extra White paint for ceiling

I have decided on SW Extra White paint for trim (satin or semi-gloss) and ceiling (flat). Can anyone recommend which line of paint to buy? I have read here on houzz to avoid the designated “ceiling” paint. Starting with kitchen and baths. The options are SuperPaint, Emerald, Duration, Cashmere, etc. I don’t mind spending on quality since the differences are negligible compared to labor costs! Many thanks.

@reddifab: I used the following paint and primer. Here you go:

Primer: SW PrepRite ProBlock Latex White

Ceiling: SW SuperPaint Interior Acrylic with Air Purifying Technology Flat Extra White

Trim: SW Pro Classic Waterborne Interior Acrylic Enamel Extra White

My contractor deals with SW so I got his discount there.

I actually have always used BM paint, so all my walls are BM colors, and the SW Extra White looks beautiful with all of them. I’m very pleased with the application of both brands. So far I’ve used BM Balboa Mist, BM Proposal, BM Beacon Gray, and am now considering BM Portland Gray. I should be done painting all the rooms in January.

Amy Sivley, we had our cabinets painted Snowbound with extra white on all the trim. They look like the same color. Its a very stark white. in certain lights the snowbound has a pink hue & the extra white has a blue hue. way to bright for me but I’m stuck with it we did Pure white on our ceilings & love it. I wish i would have picked something that doesnt blind me when I walk in the kitchen. all our trim throughout the house is bright white & Im trying to pick a white for the walls & having trouble.we did Cedar Key in a few rooms & that looks great but I want to try white.

We found that the Shitake really changed tone depending upon what it was surrounded by. I would suggest painting a large sample board and moving from place to place in your light and against your other materials. I found choosing paint colors the hardest part of building our home. You have to have a large sample and take to the actual place you want to paint it to see the light because it changes depending on where you are.

101streitired. looks very nice. could I offer one tiny bit of advice? thanks! The window. what you have is all very white and very solid. the mini blind is my pet peeve over kitchen windows. let me show you a photo shop of a new window treatment, and possibly a sconce. ( realize you can't do a pendant, and I know you have the trim piece across the front. but at least look at the window treatments) don't be afraid to add some cutting boards and greenery to the mix either

There isn't a paint can left in the garage or cellar for you to match? I don't think you will be happy trying to match the white. You can fudge it on the ceiling, by doing the best you can with swatches and painting your choice on the ceiling in flat finish. I know that will work. As for the built-ins, which aren't built-ins, why not paint them Agreeable Gray in a semi-gloss finish. The difference in sheen will be very attractive. You could paint the backs of the cabinets a coordinate color. With the cabs painted, I think the mantel needs to be painted, something in the same family, but much darker.
