Chairs for a Sun Room

I am gathering ideas to furnish a Sun Room. Options could be 4 small-scale swivel chairs all upholstered alike--probably tan or cream. Another option would be to have 2 high-back chairs in one color (dark red/burgundy) and 2 small-scale chairs in a neutral color (tan or cream)? The pairs of chairs would be across from each other in the room with a wine table between each pair. All the chairs would be on a multi-color Oriental rug with cream and burgundy. Suggestions appreciated.

On a multi-color, patterned rug, I would have all the chairs the same and the two tables the same. Use cream for upholstery; save the burgundy for the tables.

I have a day bed coming on Friday and I got a chase that looks a bit Victorian just randomly in the middle right now and a pub style table that I just painted white to also put somewhere in there. What a pretty room! Do you live there year 'round or is this your summer place? I am in Michigan (GR) and spend a lot of time at the big lake. How many people do you typically entertain, and what kind of entertaining? Dinner? Drinks only? Just hanging out? What is in the armoire? I like the idea to replace the armoire with a chair, or if you frequently have people over for beverages, maybe it could be the drink station. For large gatherings, you could place a table through the middle of the room with chairs on both sides. That is what we do in our sunroom for Thanksgiving and it works out really well. We don't have quite the same view, though!

Very nice room - not much needed, IMO. Love the rug and window shade, and chairs. If you are are good with plants, I would definitely bring in more plants -- ideally to the far side of the room, but that may mean only shade plants. I would style the bookshelves with more books, and large decorative items, for more impact. I'm not sure you need artwork in the room - I would add only if it is a piece you really love, as opposed to filling the space. I would also change the floor lamp and side tables to something more contemporary (but that's MY taste, and may not be right for you.)

For a sunroom, I would use four tan or cream chairs. The burgundy fabric may get faded. The smaller ones you posted don't look very comfortable though. Have you sat in them? The high backed chair may work better. Instead of two small tables, I'd use a larger round coffee table in the middle so the four chairs are connected.
