Decorate Sun Room

I'm needing suggestions to finish decorating my Sun Room.

- I could add an upholstered ottoman with the same fabric as on the swivel chairs and pull to the center of the room and add a wooden tray when needed. If so, what size and shape should the ottoman be?

-The blank wall is 14' x 8 1/2'. What size and how many prints or items--large or small grouping-- should be used? I had given some thought to a botanical look to the room and add 2-3 potted floor plants.

-What size, shape, color pillows for the chairs, if any? (The chairs are comfortable without.)

All suggestions and ideas appreciated.

Very nice room - not much needed, IMO. Love the rug and window shade, and chairs. If you are are good with plants, I would definitely bring in more plants -- ideally to the far side of the room, but that may mean only shade plants. I would style the bookshelves with more books, and large decorative items, for more impact. I'm not sure you need artwork in the room - I would add only if it is a piece you really love, as opposed to filling the space.

I would also change the floor lamp and side tables to something more contemporary (but that's MY taste, and may not be right for you.)

I would do a round leather ottoman, or wood - I think if it were the same upholstery as the chairs that would be boring. As for the wall, there are so many options. Depends on whether you like symmetry or not. For symmetry, six or nine small pictures lined up, or here are some other ideas:

Does it have heat, I see a space heater I think. It looks like the wall with the tv was maybe an exterior wall so it is probably structural so you should budget for that. I have a much smaller version of your two rooms and instead of opening it up I added doors to sometimes close it off but they are usually open. I decorated the two spaces to coordinate and put a different shape but same color sofa infront of the wall af Windows looking into my tv room but with kids mess often in the sun room I like to close it off sometimes. It also gives me a place to read while my kids watch annoying Disney shows in the living room. The doors look like pocket doors but are only 1920 doors hung on barn door hardware. The doors also let me close the cats out of the Christmas tree room when I am not watching them I did not have the budget to open up for it is an exterior wall.

We need a little more info but first IMO you need some sort of heat and light blocking so solar shades would be a nice choice and a floor plan with as much detail as possible like the measurements of all the spaces and doorways for sure . Is the sofa staying, is that a good indication of your style. Some pics of the other spaces in the home would be helpful

I’d firstly paint the white doors. They are too jarring in contrast. Perhaps a touch lighter than the wall colour. Then, some seating. Wicker, as others recommend, is great BUT only if you can find it in trimmed-down versions. Much wicker furniture is bulky, with rolled arms and thick backs. Another option might be wooden outdoor furniture, like ikea’s applaro line. Some plants are a must, but don’t go overboard as they will need to come into your main house during winter. The great thing about rooms like this is that they can be exuberant, really fun, because you won’t be staring at them 24 hours a day all year and so you won’t grow tired of them. So you can do things that would be tacky elsewhere but are simply casual and fun in here—loud fabrics like colourful florals, fuchsia prints on the tablecloths, string lighting, that sort of thing. (This would rapidly become my favourite room.)

I would look for antique/antique style botanical prints.

For pillows, just about any color and print you like will work (coordinating with rug, but doesn’t have to match exactly). Etsy has a great selection.

I think a large, solid coffee table or ottoman will make the furniture grouping appear cramped - and also obscure the pretty rug. If an ottoman is desired when reading, for example, I'd find a small one and stash it under the table to the left of the windows. Maybe something like:
