Cadbury fudge eggs have been available in this area for probably 8 or so years. However each year they seem to be just a little different. Some years the center has been more fudge like other years soft chocolate caramel. Either last year or the year before I read in one of the trade journals that they were revamping the chocolate that is used for the outside. Sadly I have not been any where to buy any. I also understand that the chocolate used in the US is from Hersheys and is different than that used in other countries. Same reason I purchase KitKats made in Japan rather than the ones made here. Of course then there are all the interesting flavors in Japanese KitKats.

Huh, well maybe they were just new to me this year. I dont like regular Cadbury creme eggs so I wouldn't have looked for them and discovered the variations. My mom, a fellow chocoholic, alerted me to them. They weren't called fudge eggs though. Definitely chocolate creme.

They also make/made a caramel filled egg which has a thicker layer of chocolate but to me the filling is mostly sweet with not much flavor. In thinking about how long the eggs have been available in this area it is much longer than 8 years.

Either something Reeses or malted milk balls. Otherwise, I rarely eat sweets

I prefer the coconut eggs.

My favorite is dark chocolate covered raspberry creme eggs from Russell Stover, available only at Easter and there usually aren't very many of them because they aren't super popular like Reese's or Cadbury. 2nd favorite isn't really just Easter, I like black jellybeans and you can buy bags of just black ones at Easter.

I like marshmellow eggs covered in layers of sugar, and used to buy a bag every year. I quit when they started wrapping every single egg in plastic. Those things were indestructible, they don't need individual protection like chocolates do. What a waste.

I'm addicted to these. I freeze them and then suck off the candy coating. And when they're frozen it prevents me from gulping them down.

I love Smucker’s jelly beans, but I don’t think they make them anymore, I haven’t seen them in years. They were good! So, no more jelly beans for me.

Chocolate from the local family owned chocolate store. Creamy and smooth. As far as mass produced Easter candy it has to be stale peeps.

Does it have to be candy? I am not a candy person - never have been - and I can easily ignore chocolate. But Easter or the week or so preceding is the only time hot cross buns are available. IMO, this is like a perfect treat - a not too big chunk of a flavorful, slightly sweet yeasty bun stuffed with raisins and dried fruit and just a scosh of frosting. I look forward to them every year!!

I've never had a Peep in my life and I've never quite gotten the chocolate-peanut butter thing. I have been known to enjoy a chocolate covered marshmallow egg, tho.

I'm another Russell Stover fan. Theirs are the only chocolate marshmallow eggs I will eat.

I don't see anything special about Cadbury anything and I absolutely detest anything by Brach's these days. Brach's used to be so good and now it's worse than dollar store no name candy. I find generic jelly beans to be better than the name brands also.

DH and I indulged in some Lindt chocolates yesterday. The package didn't hold too many, thankfully, and they were delicious!

Malted milk eggs - Whoppers? It has been years since I've bought any. Also the little chocolate eggs - Lindor I think.

Brach's Chicks and Rabbits. They are a firm sort of marshmallow thing that squeak when you bite into them. Yellow, blue and orange. Strange stuff but it is a nostalgia thing. I cant find them every year, sadly not this one.

Reeses eggs. It's not Easter w/o them!!

I snuck out and bought Easter candy on Thursday to help out the Easter Bunny. Good thing. Apparently, by Saturday, there was hardly any left. Of my choices, I went for the Starburst jelly beans. I used to hate jelly beans, but really love these. I bought some chocolate too. I'm not real excited about that. I decided to hoard the jelly beans and my kids found out. Oddly, they wanted them more than the chocolate too. I think the quality of chocolate has gone down or something because we're mainly not craving it.

Another vote for black jelly beans.
