@Sarah TB Hello! It is going so well! No pilling at all.. it is definitely soft enough. We have 2 dogs so have definitely had opportunities for dirt/ hair etc and so far everything has come out wonderfully. I have removed and washed the covers one time and they still looked great. I do keep blankets on the couch most of the time though for the pups. I have not regretted this purchase for one moment to date!

We have the Sunbrella Performance Chenille in Cloud on the curved Buchanan sectional. It is 3 years old. Daily use from 2 adults, 3 big fluffy dogs, and 2 cats. Lots of use from visiting family with children and elderly adults. Stains come up with Woolite/water mix. It does get dirty over time. I risked it and took off all the covers and machine washed them with Woolite. I dried on air only. They came out great. I have done this twice. We have a front load LG with a delicate cycle and option for tap water cold. We have well water.

In the future, I would pick a much more structured sofa. I got a similar one as the one in the link below from Ethan Allen and I love it! Mine is four years old. I consider major peices of furniture (including a couch) an investment. I keep my couches for ten to twenty years.
