RESALE: Open shelf vanity or floating sink for bathroom?

What kind of white transitional sink should we put in our bathroom that will look open but give potential buyers a sense of enough storage?

We have no recessed medicine cabinet and will not put one in (1852 house gets complicated) The opens shelves are the only storage in the room. Works for us with no kids, putting all of our items on trays and baskets, but I suspect we are unusual and others would want more storage?

*Yes, we'll stage everything, get new mirror, lights, towel rods, pretty containers and clear the shelves

* Current sink 36 x 24

* Distance from sink wall to tub is 60"

* Houses on our street sell from $750k - $820k and have baths updated in the 2000s

* Want to make our bath seem contemporary enough that buyers won't immediately think they need to gut it.

Do we get a vanity with open shelving, a floating unit, a pedestal sink? Note, the plumbing goes straight down into the floor. Is that weird to not go into the wall? Will vanities accommodate this?
