Are you looking for overall Curb Appeal? The shutters should be removed because they are not suited to your window size. Replace the storm door with an all glass version, and then paint the front door and storm door a nice color.

If the budget allows, replace the light fixture and mailbox with something spiffy. If you still want to amp things up, get a professional landscape/ hardscape plan that can be implemented over time.

@grapefruit_ar yes I feel like it looks to sad, I was wanting to just paint the white a different color to add some appeal to it.. I’m just not the greatest at ideas.. But now you have me thinking about the shutters...

Landscaping would be the biggest thing you can do, to improve the look of your house. It is almost non existant, and dont forget to put some smaller type trees in your yard itself. Right now, everything looks bare and forgotten. Colorful pots of flowers on each side of the door, a nice mat in front of the door. It almost looks like the house is sitting there with no one living there. The house itself looks very nice, just appears to not have had much exterior attention.

I agree @ cat_ky I appreciate your feed back, that is what I am looking for to add more curb appeal in any way I can! I’m not so great with ideas myself.. But landscape is already in process.. I just need help picking a color I do want to change the white..

I think with your roof color, you could do a dark trim and shutter color, if that appeals. A dark gray, black, dark maroon, navy, etc.

If you like the shutters, keep them, as they are appropriate to the era and style of your home. They were used as house decoration, not meant to be technical.

If you haven’t already, do some searches for ’tan brick rancher’ ... ‘tan brick shutter color’ ... etc.

@jinx yess, that is what I was thinking. A darker color. I actually fell in love the pepper corn gray, just don’t know what other color to match it with.

Maybe someone can do mock-ups for you, or you could find a paint site you could upload your pictures to and play around (I think BM and SW have that feature?).

I would look for a nice dark charcoal paint for your shutters. It will add a lot.

Peppercorn is a very pretty color. It would work for your shutters and your door.

Sooooo, I was thinking peppercorn on door and garage? And the retreat on my shutters, and the wool skein on the main body siding and post in front. What do you think!?
