I do not watch Jeopardy, unless I am forced to, but that creepy snake oil salesman should not be given airtime anywhere.

I dislike the ginned up approach. I dont like Dr Oz at the best of times. Still it is only two weeks and maybe he will calm down.

Coming from a perspective of never having seen him on anything before, I don't think he did a bad job. That said, he's no Alex Trebek, and neither is anyone else.

He grates on my last nerve. I find him nauseatingly self-serving. That said, if I'm being objective.....I don't think he did that badly. It pains me to say that and I hope these two weeks go by quickly and that's the end of it, but truth be told, he didn't ruin the game for me like I feared he would. So far, I've liked Katie the best, but looking forward to seeing the others, too.

The pace and style of every host has been so different! I only saw Dr Oz for Final Jeopardy Monday, and I will see only a few minutes of the beginning today, I’m not sure when I’ll get to see a full game with him. But in the few minutes I saw yesterday, boy, he is a fast talker. All of these hosts are just guests, for two weeks at a time, so I don’t get the “calls to remove him. The shows are already “in the can” for goodness sake.

I have to say, I like that the game lives on, and the various guest hosts does give me a new reason to watch, just for some variety. I have the dates for each new host on my calendar. These days, we need little change-ups in our lives lol.

Once I saw he was hosting, I changed the channel. He may have been once a reputable surgeon, but Hollywood has gone to his head. Pushing quackery isn't becoming.

I barely know who he is, but enough people I respect say he's a Grade A #1 Quack. Oh and I haven't watched Jeopardy in quite a while. So maybe I shouldn't have responded, but I really dislike "quacks" being taken seriously.

I haven't been able to see him on Jeopardy; the channel in my area that carries Jeopardy has been having basketball on everyday this week. I guess I should be glad.

Apparently, there is a good portion of the population who are susceptible to quackery and snake oil salesmen!

I don't like it at all but maybe he'll improve before his time is up. I blame it all on Oprah who let the Oz out of the bottle. It's embarrassing to see how the media fawns over him.

Don't watch Jeopardy but Dr. Oz is a showboat quack, whom I have zero respect for.

I do not like him as a host. Although, he didn't do a bad job last night. But I don't know if I can go through 2 weeks of watching him.

I truly did like Katie Couric and the guy that is on the staff of Jeopardy. So far, those are the only two I would think have a chance of permanently hosting the show. Of course, no one is going to appeal to us the way Alex Trebek did; he was a wonderful host.

I don't think he was what he has become when he first appeared with Oprah. Same with Dr. Phil. Blame these guys and their egos on what they did with the opportunity Oprah handed them; don't blame her.

But Oprah separated from him years ago. I am surprised he was on the Jeopardy list of temporary hosts. I won’t watch him, hope that reflects in the ratings 😊.

I’m not a fan but think he’s doing a very good job. He’s relaxed and has good energy.

I was kind of surprised at why I was dismayed. My DVR has actually been broken, so I've only just seen him tonight. I feel like he was talking fast, and yet, they ran out of time??? It's like on Big Bang Theory when Penny says "It's too burnt and frozen at the same time!", of people complaining of her cooking in the past.

Seems impossible, but there you have it. All I can figure is there must've been superfluous commentary? But I'll just watch closer tomorrow for what is going on.

I saw the first segment today. Mind you, this was only his second show, done probably the same day as the first. He’s not really Mr. Warmth, is he. Hopefully Wednesday I’ll see a full episode finally!

Matti, I am just the opposite: I like Katie but thought she did not seem comfortable hosting the show. She’s too mild.

I actually thought he did a good job. Maybe he could make it as a game show host and stop giving quakery medical advice......hhhmmmmm......

I was only able to watch it once, last night. I didn't think he was awful. No one is going to be an exact replica of Alex. I enjoy seeing the contestants and the questions more than focusing on the host.

I don't have TV and never watched Dr. Oz the way some others do. HOWEVER I was grateful to see him address health issues that nobody talks about, I mean nobody, and present the current options. I don't know what quackery you all have seen and it must be so since the antipathy here is 100 percent.
