They certainly aren't the "old" Edmunds. But, they are trying! I ordered 3 roses last yr. They arrived I believe in January, which is normally a good time for me. All three roses died. One broke dormancy and then died, but the other two never did sprout anything... just dried up. I emailed them and they told me one of the roses was sold out, but that they would replace the other two. In March, I received TWO each of the two they could replace. All 4 roses grew and did really well. They also had sent me a gift certificate for the other rose that couldn't be relaced then, but I can't find it, so didn't use it for this yr's order. But that's ok. They made the others right, double! I'm happy.

I bought raspberry twirl and rainbow's end bare root fom Edmund's this year. (among an order of about 10 roses). Raspberry twirl grew and is now healthy. It made 1 flower but squirrels ate it as a bud and I never saw it open. The squirrels have since pruned it again. It's potted, I'm trying to figure out a place for it to climb. Need to plant in the ground soon before winter. The plant is healthy but haven't seen a flower since. Incidentally, Rainbow's end failed to grow. I reported it and got $10 store credit. I bought it on clearance. I already have 2 Rainbow's End roses from last year bought for $3.99 each at Menards. Both are prolific at flowering and survived the winter (1 indoors, one outside without protection.)

It's true that rose blooms do get bigger in their second or third years so this may not be the final size. However, I wouldn't expect the blooms of this one to get huge. Edith's Delight is classed as a miniflora, and that usually means the blooms are supposed to be smaller than average rose bloom size. I'd use this one at the foot of a larger rose that has "bare knees" and they can complement each other. Just a thought. Cynthia

Aren't these two companies part of a group of businesses that all had financial difficulties and ended up owned by the same entity? I could never keep it straight. I remember one family member of the owning company sold roses on the "side" on eBay and undercut the prices of Edmund's and Jung's, though they were all part of the same company. It was quite a soap opera, but this guy is no longer on eBay. I think Jackson & Perkins, Wayside Gardens, and Park Seed are all the same company, too. Diane
