Any pics of a creamy cab w/ a blue/grey/neutral color? Here are a few but I am not positive on the paint colors used. Do you happen to have pictures? Is your rental indefinite/long term? I think it's personal preference as to whether you keep your bedroom accent color purple or switch to blue. I think purple might look better with the grey and it would save you some money. If I were to do grey and blue, I would personally use navy. As for the floor, black will look okay with grey walls, but you will see every speck of dust and hair and fabric fiber. Probably not a big deal if it's temporary. Are you sure you want to keep the bright blue? While I love blue and use it everywhere at my house, I think I would get tired of bright Caribbean blue in my main living area. I'm not terribly talented at this stuff, but wanted to chime in and bump your post up to the top so someone else may be able to help.

Warning: (learning from just painting Grey in my living room that has loads of windows and light) Most Grey colors turn out much darker looking once you paint them on all the walls. We spent $2,000 to change the grey in our livingroom to a lighter grey because the first one turned out too dark and that was a grey that was much lighter than any you have choosen. I had even gotten a sample and painted one wall to test the color but when the walls all reflect off each other it gets way darker! I would test Beacon Grey or Breath of Fresh Air. We ended up using SW 7071 Grey Screen You can see in this photo how much darker it can get depending on the shadows and lighting. Here it is in the day light: During the day it is almost baby blue but at night it is VERY grey.

Why not cement tile like this and then paint the walls the blue in the tile IMO faux wood next to real always looks bad.
