I need to add $4.51 to my Amazon cart. Suggestions?
Comments (27)Our internet is down! Oh the horror, the horror. Borrowing DH's desk at work until I get kicked out. It may be days until we are up again (phone company issues) so please accept my apologies for neglect. The parchment rounds are looking good, as is the dulce de leche. And one can always use another spatula, or Oxo tongs. Linda and bunnyman - smart@sses, I'm looking for kitchen stuff. LOL. Love the suggestions anyway, and they can be used in other parts of the house.... Annie, I own all those canning toys :-). Dlynn, we have plenty of cameras but thanks for the link. Joanm, I have a spaetzle maker, I love it! My family doesn't, sigh. I need to play with it more, maybe add some seasonings. dktrahan, AnnT have an ongoing disagreement about the ricer (but we are still friends, lol). I like the style you linked because I can rest it across the pot/bowl and I don't find it difficult to squeeze. DARFC from Ann. Deee, I have those jar pops and extras too, I give them away as gifts to my friends - we're all starting to need them. jcrowley99, now you have me looking for (and needing) 'scoop' measuring cups. I can't fit my round ones in my narrow flour tupperware containers. Next order or ebay, I can't justify $20 for a set of scoops. Arley, I was listening to Fritz Wunderlich, Dalla Sua Pace, on our Rhapsody music subscription when our net went down. Arrrgh. I do sing Il Mio Tesoro around the house, much to the consternation of my kids, heh heh. We can never get enough Don Giovanni. He does have a beautiful voice. We get everything now on Rhapsody; I'm not sure about O Holde Dame, I'll check when we are back up. Maybe Youtube will have a clip! I don't know if you checked back on the 'Bucket List' thread on Conversations - we just started the Ring cycle at LA Opera. I'm stoked! Thanks all, I'll try to check in for more suggestions!...See MoreNeed some help! Found the Chairs, but I'm 2nd guessing...
Comments (8)Thank You All. Before I read your responses, I had mocked up a 36" chair to check it out. It didn't grab me. Then I looked at a BUNCH of pins on my Pinterest account...funny, the shorter 36" chairs DID look odd. So, I txt'd her this am, told her I couldn't make it, but told her if she doesn't sell them to let me know. They would make great extra chairs for when the table is extended. Most of those type of chairs I have found are 36" in height. Although occasionally I do find a 40" set. I think I will hold out for either a larger set (dimensions and quantity) or maybe go with a totally different style of chair. Thanks again, you all confirmed what was already in my head. Comments (21)I just don't love the metal chairs in that kitchen. As a stand alone object I think they are ok, but I think they are out of sync with the room as a whole. Those chairs are vaguely Memphis inspired, vaguely post-Modernist, and they remind me of the movies Beetle Juice, and Ruthless People. And the horizontal bar between the loops is kind of like a towel rack, sorry :) They are whimsical, and in the right place, sure, but that isnt a whimsical room. The thing I liked about the mixed BW dining room is the Benches. I could see Two of your chairs, used as the end chairs with wooden benches that looked like your island maybe. The chairs on the ends should be the "character" pieces IMO and almost any chair you try to put with those is going to invert that, unless they are really out there....See MoreI think I hate my new dining room chairs ...
Comments (43)Change the chair seats, the LIGHT add curtains, Add a rug.......It isn't decorated yet!! Do the table switch last........ The light is Hubbardton Forge, The rug is an 8 x 10 charcoal sisal , 225.00 There's a lot of junk in tables, with finishes that will not hold up. .............switch the table last. Or paint what you have, to a soft black top, and white base. This is a minefield category of junkola out there. Arhaus on the one below........save your money : ) https://www.denverfabrics.com/p242131_66467-greypeachpink-plaid-linen https://www.lightology.com/index.php?module=prod_detail&prod_id=207623...See MoreIdaClaire
