Would you do grey tile with unlacquered brass?

Hi there,

We are trying to make our final tile decisions for our bath remodel - initially we were going to go with a classic white subway tile, but I'm feeling like I'd like to add some color. For some reason I'm really liking the idea of a cooler grey paired with our unlacquered brass fixtures for some tension, but I'm not finding a lot of inspiration photos and am beginning to wonder if I'm off my design rocker! I'm strongly considering Cloe Tiles in grey in a running bond, but likewise having trouble finding photos of that tile installed.

For reference, our probable floor is below (carrara marble 1 hex with black rosettes), our vanity is white shaker inset, our counters will be carrara marble, and our fixtures and pulls are all unlacquered brass, so it will darken over time. Our bathroom has a huge window and gets good natural light, and has high ceilings. I'm going for a traditional/transitional look. We will do full height in the bath enclosure and half wall the rest of the way around.

Design thoughts appreciated! Layout and picture of fixture
