what color for kitchen cabinets

For my white shaker cabinets I wanted the simple gold-brassy pulls. However, I have a stainless steel range, hood, fridge, sink and faucet. Will the brushed gold pulls visually clash with the stainless steel? Should I select white range hood?

No to a white range hood and IMOthe whole gold look will be one of those dated things soon. Why not stick with stainless and add a nice gold platter or some other accent piece

Agree fully with HF on the cabinets. The look of your cabinets will remain dated even if you paint them given the ornate doors and partial overlay. in the kitchen would look more complete if the cabinets went to the ceiling. You can even keep a wood tone and still achieve a modern look. I would recommend rethinking those grayish floors. Gray as a wood tone I hope will die a fast death this coming year. It's been around since at least 2015 when I started seeing it in cheap apartment reno's. Even if it's a high-quality hardwood it still screams builder grade to me. Don't get me wrong, gray is a very lovely color, but not as a wood tone. The bleached or rotting wood look is way overdone IMO and hopefully on its way out.

Sorry i just read some of the rules for posting, im new in here and English is not my first language, i apologize, the floors are porcelain. You can see a little of the floor in the last two pictures. They already covered the floor because we are starting to work on the kitchen. I know wood is timeless but i am tired. I want something more modern. I am removing the countertops wich are granite and replacing them with quartz ( white with some grey veins) I am also adding hardware to the cabinets still not sure if i should do silver or black matte. Anyway thanks for the input!

I have SW Alabaster on walls and trim in large open floor plan living room and kitchen. I am repainting my kitchen cabinets and my contractor uses PPG Breakthrough. I need a PPG paint color that will contrast with Alabaster, without being too dark. My kitchen faces north, but doesn’t have any windows. Looking at PPG Scotch Mist and Antique White, but not sure the cabinets will pop. Suggestions?

No to white range hood, and I would go with stainless, or brushed nickel for the hardware too. The gold was all the rage years ago, but, people tire of it easily, and it soon became a thing, you changed immediately when you bought a house, now its back, but, I have already heard, a few people that have put it in, say, that they now understand, why everyone was removing it in the first place. Stick with stainless, or brushed nickel, it always looks good.

There is a big difference between the cheap shiny gold that was trending in the 80's and what is available today in the brushed gold/bronze tones.

No regrets with the TopKnobs Honey Bronze pulls I installed in my new kitchen in 2022. The pulls tie into the warm color of my Taj Mahal quartzite counters and brass pendants. My range and hood are stainless steel.
