Should all my curtain rods be the same throughout my house?

Currently I'm working on adding curtains to the bedrooms in our home. My long-term design goal is to do mix metals throughout the house. My thoughts were to do brass for fixtures above eye level (light fixtures, ceiling fans, curtain rods). I already have a white and brass light fixture in one room and two brass ceiling fans in the other two. The curtain rods I ordered look great with the light fixture in the first bedroom, but the brass tones are slightly different between the ceiling fan and the rods. Its enough that I notice the difference but I don't honestly know if anyone else would unless they were studying them. I asked my boyfriend and his response was "that look the same to me". My question is, should I use the same rods throughout the whole house? If so, how bad is it if the brass tones don't match? Or should I use different rods in the two room with the ceiling fans so?
