Comments (5)Are you able to place the bed on the wall to the right of the entrance without impeding access to the closet? Then you would have a bit of room on the left window wall for a dresser and a small chair in the corner between those windows. You could reverse it but I'm one who prefers not having a bed directly below a window, so I suggested the other wall. The interior wall will also allow you to use a headboard at some point. If the rug stays, I would keep it at the same orientation so that when your guest gets out of bed they step on the rug....See MoreHelp decorate our guest bedroom! pics
Comments (22)we have not attached it yet--- we need to look at the bed frame to see if its able to attach -otherwise we will get the appropriate frame- DH does not want to attach to wall-- its pretty sturdy even though its not attached.... HTN-- i hear you about transitional-- i kind of felt like i was liking that style but yes the rest of our house is traditional-- i'm keeping the headboard- so i'll see what else i come up with... I also think the bed needs an ivory throw blanket and a nice bench (thats lighter by the foot of the bed)... to be continued...See MoreHow can we make room for our new addition in our small house?
Comments (2)^Agree with eld6161. First priority is the baby (congrats!). Use one of the secondary bedrooms for the nursery. Next is your husband's gaming space and a distant third is entertaining overnight guests. I know the need to nest is strong, especially during pregnancy, but I don't think taking on the basement rehab now is a good idea. As mentioned above, put those guests on a sofa bed or in a nearby hotel until you get the basement reno done - after the baby is born. Do the basement reno when time and budget permit which may be longer than a couple of years :)...See MoreVery small master bedroom. How to make it more appealing?
Comments (40)Thank you Courtney that 2nd pic especially looks comparable to our size issue but solves the problem very nicely. I think getting those sconces replaced with more interesting light fixtures and moving them further apart is going to make the biggest difference. For now, I like the idea of adding a colorful throw or more interesting pillows. Someone else mentioned about storage and suggested a storage bench at the foot of the bed. We have an adjacent office/library and a large closet so no need for either storage or a sitting area in this room. So that helps!...See Moretangerinedoor
