living room layout complete
Comments (4)That looks like it is going to be a very pretty room and a great arrangement. I know you will have it done before long and I look forward to seeing it as you are finished. I am so happy things seem to be going better for now and I hope and pray, and trust things will be better and better all along. It is so easy to lose sight of a happier and sunnier day when things are not going well and I have been somewhere near where you are in life. We never have the same experiences, identically, as we are all individuals but I have been in the basement of health and life did go on and spring made things better and truth is, I was happier after it was behind me for knowing I was a survivor....See MoreNew living room layout advice!
Comments (5)Thank you so much for your input, I really appreciate it! Ill attach pics and more info in case you might have some more suggestions. -First of all- there are 3 of us, we travel a lot- so we aren’t all here together normally but when we are we like to entertain and use this space to host people for dinner and drinks. We have all been out of town, so please excuse the Christmas tree - The focal point is one of the problems with this room. We do want a TV in here so trying to decide to put it on the wall adjacent to entrance or on wall next to bay windows. We also want a bar cart, with fig leaf/palm tree wall paper, I’ve attached an example. - All the furniture is mismatched and just put in here for the time being. May keep the TV table, but that’s really it for the room that we are considering keeping. - We plan on ceiling to floor curtains, just haven’t finalized a color scheme. Also considering painting room lighter....See MoreHow to layout weird living room for TV watching with new sectional?
Comments (2)IMO a sectional in your space is the wrong choice. I actually love the sofa and the 2 chairs you have in that space. Setionals are IMO the most expensive way to get the most uncomfortable seats. Arm rests = comfort and a sectional at best has 2 no matter how many seats . So everyone else is sitting just like they do on the middle seat on a sofa the seat no one wants....See MoreNew apartment living room layout suggestions
Comments (6)Based on the description and measurements you provided, here are some suggestions for furnishing your living room to highlight the window, create a cozy reading and TV-watching area, and accommodate a desk: 1. Sofa Placement: Consider placing a comfortable sofa along the long wall opposite the window. This will allow you to enjoy the natural light and make the window a focal point of the room. 2. Window Treatments: Opt for light and airy window treatments that can be easily opened to let in natural light. Sheer curtains or blinds would be ideal as they provide privacy without blocking the view. 3. Cozy Reading Nook: Create a cozy reading nook in the corner near the window. You can place a comfortable armchair or a chaise lounge with a small side table and a floor lamp for reading. Add some cushions and a throw blanket to make it even cozier. 4. TV Placement: Mount the TV on the wall opposite the sofa for optimal viewing. Consider choosing a slim TV unit or a floating shelf beneath the TV to house media equipment and provide storage for DVDs or other items. 5. Desk Area: To incorporate a desk into your living room, you can utilize the space adjacent to the window. Look for a compact desk that fits the dimensions of the available area. Consider a desk with storage options to keep your work essentials organized. Place a comfortable chair or an ergonomic chair to ensure a comfortable work setup. 6. Additional Seating: If space permits, you can add extra seating options such as ottomans, poufs, or a small bench near the entrance or against a wall to accommodate guests or provide extra seating during gatherings. Remember to consider the scale of the furniture in relation to the room dimensions and leave sufficient walking space around the furniture pieces. Additionally, incorporate your personal style and preferences when selecting furniture pieces, colors, and textures to create a welcoming and functional living room space....See Morejaycek728
