First day by myself and I managed to make it to the porta potty and make it to check in here. DIL has spent all week with me and has been a true blessing.

Big prayers Monday with my skin graft. I am so very very nervous over this. Have to be a hospital at 9 am. Surgery at 11. EMR will come help me in the car and when I come home they will help me into the condo

Son had delivered that expensive chair lift and I have slept in it two nights. Insurance should help with the cost.

Home health has started with rebandaging and exercise. Bath person didn't show up.

Humanna sending me ten days of frozen dinners.

DIL will be with me as long as needed and we are looking into a sitter so she can get some relief. Amy has been a true angel.

Glenda I hardly ever post here but read almost everyday. I have been following you and your illness and look everyday for an update. I hope you have a complete and speedy recovery. Hang in there and you have many friends thinking of you and saying prayers daily.

Glenda I am glad you have help for a while as you recover. We will be here in the cheering section for you.

Knowing of your cooking skill and the delicious things you make, you probably are not going to be happy with hospital delivered cuisine. You might see if you can get your DIL to buy or cook some dinners, so you don't have to depend on those that the hospital will send.

We'll be thinking of you in the morning Glenda. I hope everything goes smoothly and well. It sounds like you'll be able to go home again in the evening? Great news.

Can you adjust your lift chair to flatten out your back and elevate your legs easily enough? On the chance there is some post surgical swelling they want you to pay attention to....((((hugs)))))

Glenda, everyone is going to take such good care of you tomorrow! You'll be their favorite patient! It's understandable to feel nervous, but maybe take a deep breath and concentrate on how good it will feel to have it over with. I'll be praying for you :-)

It sounds like you are making strides toward recovery and you sound well. Your nervousness is completely justified, but do not worry everything will turn out fine. Thinking of you tomorrow.

Hope you are at home and that the worst is behind you. Pamper yourself as much as possible. Your daughter in law sounds like an angel.

Now that Monday is over, recovery can begin! DH broke his ankle several years ago. It was such a miserable time for all of us. He hated being dependent but mobility was a real issue. Sometimes you just don't have a choice. Just remember-this too shall pass. Its always good to be home! Wishing you the best!!
