Need throw pillows and another accent color
Morning! I've been reading Maria Killam's color ebooks and boy are they helpful. I am looking to bring in another accent color to my room (I think). What I need are some cool pillows for this space. Something light and airy - which could bring in another accent color. I plan to refinish my grandmother's piece and put it on the wall behind the sofa flaked with 2 bright gorgeous gourd lamps.
SO - what other color would you bring into the space? A deep jewel toned gold, or a apple/ lime green or Aqua? Here are some pics of pillows I'm looking at and considering.
I am also getting a cream area rug from MGBW that will lighten up the seating space.

P.s. The fabrics you show look lovely. For an occasional extra punch, even via a vase of flowers, why not look to the Red-Purple Hue Family?
Floors & brown leather = Yellow-Red Hue Familywall covering = Possibly the same ?
Sofa - Blue-Green Hue Family.

Throw pillows needed
Comments (8)Will post another picture soon. The walls are being repainted accessible beige tomorrow and the carpet is a neutral frieze called milk and cookies. I'd say right now we have autumn colors in the great room (between art work and sofas). The house is going on market in the next month or two. We had a consult with a stager who was recommended by a friend, not our realtor, which was a mistake. The "stager" was really more of a designer, and tends to favor the "Pinterest threw up in my house" style. It's like you're trying to fit everything on the rug and it looks squished. give everything some breathing room. you've got some beautiful pieces in there. very nice room. the color opposite gold/mustard on the wheel is purple. Comments (22)IdaClaire: My point is that no one should feel that there is anything great at stake for such a small decision. What if everyone in the country needed help making every $20 purchase? People should feel free to buy what they like and use it in their homes. Architectural Digest will never come knocking. And if people are worried about what their friends will think about their choice of pillows, then they need better friends. It's all just noise, and it bumps real dilemmas off the front page where they are more likely go get help. If something is permanent, costly, or one-time-only, that's different. And if there is a clear right way and wrong way (or dangerous way) to do something, that may pose a dilemma. But none of that is the case here and in similar questions (like buying a toaster, also posted yesterday). HGTV has scared some people into thinking that there is only a particular way to do things and that every decision is important. This is pillows! Buy 20 of them and rotate them with the season for all anybody cares. It's your home. And still not a dilemma....See MoreL L

That rug is going...I'm going to get something like this and turn it the long way so the seating area is on the rug...I'm desperate to lighten up the space.

Every Hue Family has colourful saturated colours, along with whites, blacks, greys & other near neutrals.
You already have colours from the Blue-Green & Yellow-Red Hue Family.
The top wheel shows a way of introducing others from the Red-Purple Hue Family to form a split complementary palette with those.
