TV placement Challenge! Windows and openings in the way!

I am in middle of adding Dining Room to my home which is opposite this Living Room space. I have attached floor plan. Also pictures of space before and during construction.

I have never liked where my TV is located as it feels out of place and too crowded.
I can get a new TV if placement would be improved.
The sectional is 10’ x 10’ currently floating in center of room.
There is not room above the fireplace for the TV.
The tall China cabinet is being moved to DR.

I was thinking of rotating the sectional to face the stairs and FP, and placing TV on stair wall, but not sure how that would look as when you walk into this room you will see side of TV.
If I keep TV where it is, how can I balance that side with the other side of the slider?
My husband likes his leather chair, so would like to keep that if possible.

This is only room w TV, and our only “living” space. My daughter has her friends over often, I have book club w 8-10 ppl and Sundays football viewing day. Room gets a lot of use.

I am also repainting due to the construction. I currently have BM Stafford Green but need to repaint due to construction. I may go with a much lighter color. I’m looking at various shades of white. Would that help with making the room feel more spacious?

Thank you so much for any help!!
