Open concept family room design challenge (sofa/tv)
Comments (4)It seems as if there is a blank smaller wall to the right of the TV. Move the TV there (lower it too), get a console table (25-50% longer than TV) and move the couch so it faces it. That way when people sit on it and you're in the kitchen their backs won't be to you....See MoreMulti Room Audio for TV
Comments (10)A multi-zone receiver is the usual method but that wouldn't be the simplest solution. The gotcha with BT speakers is you still need to give them power so depends on your setup. Method 1 - Wireless: Get a cheap Bluetooth amp (click me) and BT speakers (assuming TV has BT). If you're good with a smaller speaker you could use a USB powered one for example and avoid all the wiring. The smaller Bose USB speakers sound nice - seen for $80 at Costco. Method 2 - Wired: I'd just get a cheap amp (click me) connect with a 'Y' splitter on the audio to the soundbar to audio input, and output to speakers. Also manually controlled but the small amp could be inconspicuous. Assumption here is you can run the wires easily....See MoreFurniture placement for Living room with TV and FP on opposite walls
Comments (12)Thank you for your responses! The pictures make the room appear bigger than it is so at most I could fit is a sofa and two chairs. I do not see me getting rid of the TV armoire unit. It is a very expensive Habersham piece. Unless someone wants to give me $$$ for it😬. There is a lot of display area/shelves and they are adjustable. I love the idea of changing the mantle out even though I like it, but definitly needs to be lowered. There is NO wall space except the wall that unit is on. The arched pass thru next to the FP is a bar cabinet and on the kitchen sode has wine rack and more liquor cabinets. That countertop has to go as I jave never liked that....See MoreDesign help in tv wall building for living room
Comments (6)Hi it's my first time here so please excuse any possible mistake in creating this discussion. After building this wall in my living, we found that the stairs side is not straight vertically, the reason why you can notice in it's bottom it's getting closer to the living room. The easiest solution I thought about was to build the wall until the end of its intersection with the ceiling.. but I am still trying to find any alternative to decrease at least the length of the needed extension so I thought about these options- extending the upper part of the wall more than the rest of it, maybe adding one or two shelves in the lateral will make it look more symmetric- hiding the shape with tv wood decoration ideas- extend the ceiling to bottom (like an arche) on the entrance to the living to connect the pillar and this wallPlease help if you have any good idea..Thank youI will post photos in comments if this will be possible...See Morecaroline94535
