Comments (7)I went the russsound way and I love it. The russound speaker switch I have has an A/B source. (so that would help you) It also matches the impedance depending on the number of speakers you have so you don't damage anything. I also got the volume controlls but I never use them. Take the money you would spend on volume controlls ($35-$60 a pop) and buy IR transmiters for your remote. then you can not only controll the volume from anywhere but also the CD or Tuner......See Moremulti room audio solution
Comments (1)Have you tried the AVG forum? I have not been there for a long time, and many of their setups are way over my head, but they've been helpful to me in the past. PS: Sounds like you are on a budget, but even so, you may want to consider the whole house systems they now make where you store everything in a computer-like device as MP3 files and stream them through the house. Comments (6)What you're experiencing is very common and as Randy said, a function of the processing speed of the boxes. A DVR will usually lag a regular box by a second or two because it has more to do, even when not recording because of the pause/rewind option. Essentially it's processing the signal, recording the signal on a hard drive, then outputting it to the TV. That's one more step than a regular box and by far the slowest. You need the same box for every room, even if you go with a Tivo. Or just stick to one TV for football season!...See MoreNeed help designing odd shaped multi-use room (pictures in comments)
Comments (11)Maybe your dining table down near the french doors, then a round table or ottoman for games with four small scale swivel easy chairs just to the right of the fireplace. You could then turn a chair (or two) to kind of face the fireplace when you want to cozy up and read - it doesn't appear you have enough room right in front of the fireplace for this arrangement without impeding the walkway. Then add a sectional or sofa and more chairs in a conversation at the other end. If you had a couple of chairs with their backs to the bathroom, with room to walk behind them, then the two game table swivel chairs closest to the sectional/sofa could be swiveled to face that conversation area if needed. These are larger than what it appears you have room for, but you get the idea....See MoreHeath H
