The lamp shade I have on the tv console is the biggest that will fit in diameter. It almost touches the wall.

When looking at sofa tables, I’ve ran across some interesting things. I do kinda like the seating behind the sofa. I’ve noticed back to back sofa and table/bar areas! Do you all have any experience in these or are they a big No No!

So if the console is real narrow, get taller lamps. Look at the height of flowers. The scale works. The lamp is too small.

I think you have blown past the “no no” mode, and i reslly like the pix of the table with lamps and chairs behind the sofa. I would be careful to measure before buying what looks like a countertop bar with stools. I think a bar that was higher than the back of your sofa might not work

My sofa is 33in tall and the length of the tallest part is 100in! So I was thinking this 29’1 x 45 would work.

To a search for sofa table or console table and see if you find something you like even more Will you be put in the chairs on the both ends or directly behind the couch across the table The sides will be bare on the length of the couch with the table

Table would be too small. I would go as long as couch or a little shorter. Maybe a library table would work. Look for one on Facebook market place. But the 2 table idea is great idea too. Also, Safavieh lamps are reasonably priced. I bet u could find a pair of lamps that you would love for your console.

That is counter height so make sure it's not too big for the sofa otherwise go with the 54" one that you have chosen

I measured the turquoise vase and flowers and it’s almost 48in. I know Kristin said the scale was right but to look for lamps. I can’t find anything that size that isn’t out of my price range unless it’s a floor lamp! I haven’t found a sofa table I’m in love with yet so going to hold off on it, but keep looking. I also wondered? If and when I do get a table, do I need lamps on both the tv console and the sofa table? Seems like it may be to much but I don’t know!

U could do one lamp on a sofa table. U don't have to have lamps on both sides of tv.

I’ve been looking at this, but it’s been out of stock. It just came back in stock😊 i was thinking 2 of these together. They are 47in long. They are the same colors as my tv console.

If they require assembly or are very inexpensive then one problem you might face using 2 is that they won’t align properly if you want them to sit together perfectly as one unit without a gap between them. You might be able to fix them to sit tight together by using screws, but maybe not.

my other hesitation is that being the same finish as your media unit they might inadvertently end up looking like orphans of that unit that you put behind your sofa.

I don’t your measurements or your budget but do either of these work for you?

No I haven’t given total up on the chandelier. I love it. I just didn’t want to do to much. It’s so hard sometimes. I would rather do a chandelier than lamps.

Also you mean plants and book thing beside the console not on top of correct? I love plants. I have a lot of small ones in pots, but have been looking for bigger ones

A 48 inch lamp is almost a floor lamp. Lol. I guess u just need a bigger, fatter lamp than u. It looks small compared to other items. To me, that is focal point of room.

Wanted to correct my post. The tv area is the focal point and in my opinion the most important part to get right.

I moved the dog picture to the kitchen and added this shelf with the lamps! Also got this cute round table. I’m finally looking to get a new couches or couch and stylish recliners. I’ve always thought I wanted a sectional for this big space, but they are all so ugly 🤦🏼‍♀️
