Help please! Kitchen/living room paint colors
Hello, I’m trying to determine paint colors for my kitchen and sunroom and I’m between Modern Gray (left) and Accessible Beige (Right). Trim will be painted white and fixtures will be changed to nickel (eventually). Kitchen is black countertops and off white cabinets. It gets south west exposure but not a ton of natural light. Which do you like?

Comments (13)Keep in mind that the color will look different if it is sampled on a painted wall. You should be able to mix colors and have it color matched--although depending on the skill of the salesperson, the match may not be perfect. We have done colors at 50%--I think that also depends on the salesperson as to how they do it. For us, we had SW softer tan mixed at 50% and it was just lighter than the original shade. I had sooooo many paint samples up--I did large portions of the wall in the samples--but having the samples side by side and doing them on top of our existing yellow walls really affected how the color looked and made it hard to judge how the end result would look. I ended up picking my favorite and painting as much of the wall as the sample allowed to get the best idea of how it would look. The svelte sage and grassland were definitely way too gray in my house. If you do a search, there have been other posts on greens--I know it was helpful when I was trying pick a green. I think I even had a thread and someone suggested a nice Behr color or maybe a lowe's color--it didn't work in my space as I needed to coordinate it with a tan adjoining wall--but it was nice--I just can't remember the color....See MoreLiving room and game room paint colors!! Comments (8)I love what u have so far! Great neutral colors. However, I do agree with you the room seems a bit bland as is. U have so many great neutrals. I would suggest getting dark grey drapes to flank either side of the window and accent with golden or teal colors for a bit of pop. The photo above has the warm colored floor and charcoal cabinets, the brass hardware and teal bar stools add a bit of character without losing its sophistication. U could accent with mustard and teal pillows. 3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoThe first post w furniture are from my old house as I don’t have anything in the new house now as we are still renovating. The kitchen table I want to eventually replace or color.
the second post shows the sun room and kitchen nook from the kitchen and sunroom to kitchen. The kitchen has a half wall to the living room. No rug has been decided.
One note- we are going to refinish the floors and deciding bt these two (Special walnut and medium brown) but my husband wants special walnut. Also I have 8 foot ceilings 😥
