Winter Solstice 2012 Countdown Banner!
Comments (14)Hi Terrene, hi all. Ain't it awful? Shortly after I got the countdown banner up & running, co. developed financial difficulties & when you click on the banner it displays the following message: "Sorry, due to the expense of the server needed to host the countdown banners, I have eliminated them and downgraded to a lower costing server plan." I clicked on some of the other banners but the same message comes up on the same url: http://ult-tex.net/counts/index.cgi Disappointing b/c the Spring countdown banner is used in this forum and we know it works on gardenweb. Other companies have these banners, free & easy to use, so I will work on a new one. Just hope it displays nicely in a gardenweb post. I'm on it! And thanks to all who have shared what they are up to - I really enjoy reading your posts. Comments (4)Don't know what it's like in the northern half of this planet but here in Australia the days here become blessedly shorter. Oh Frabjous day! Will celebrate by dancing in my jocks around the swimming pool by the soft light of the mosquito zapper. Unfortunately we are now in for the hottest period of our year. We will swelter until the end of February and scan the horizon anxiously as the bushfires eat up whatever greenery has formed during the cooler months. Strange time of the year here. As we sweat our dainty butts off and use up boatloads of deodorant we are confronted everywhere with images of a fat bloke in a red jump suit prancing around in the snow, ginger bread houses topped with more of the white stuff and crooners moaning about "white Christmases". The only white we get to see is an inch thich coating of 30+ sunscreen on our sweaty brows as we labour over our Christmas barbies. Larry...See MoreVeggie Tales - December 2020
Comments (286)Lea, I think only squash grows faster than tomatoes-I have already had to move the light over the squash up two notches and peppers are definitely slow growing until they get about 5 or 6 inches tall. Cindy, I have about 100 sprouts now in the onions and leeks zone (where I am using the full spectrum light) and close to the same on tomato sprouts-still waiting on the peppers and the new seeds I just got in. The kohlrabi is sprouting like crazy-I always drop too many seeds in because they are so tiny....See MoreDecember 2020 Building a Home
Comments (396)J Beth joy: don’t feel bad about the lumber price jump. Ours had gone up $21,000 between our contract in May and delivery in September—and our price was 75% of the cost hike; builder paid 25% per contract. In their 30 years in business, nothing had gone up more than 25% that the builder pays that they had to pass that cost on to the homeowner....See Moreroseseek
