Do You Like Fried Potatoes and How do You Like Them
Comments (33)My husband makes the best french fries. He cuts the russet potatoes in rounds....doesn't peel them. Then he cuts them in sticks, so they are about the size and thickness of my little finger. He has a pot of oil, and he dumps them all in at once...which tends to cool the oil a bit, but when the oil reheats and they finish frying, it is like they have been fried twice, which is the real way to make french fries. You fry them, drain them, and then fry them again. They are lightly crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I used to always cut my french fries length ways, but after seeing how he does it, I changed to his way. His still taste better than mine. I am another one who loves an electric skillet. I don't think I have ever fried potatoes in one, but I like frying chicken it better than I do using cast iron. And I have over 100 pieces of cast iron cookware. Or, did have. I have given a lot of it away....See MoreAdjustable lighting like "office lighting" for medicine cabinet mirror
Comments (2)I have a Simple Human mirror for detailing. I have the small rechargeable one that folds for travel. I leave it on my counter and hold it up to my face when I put on mascara. I don't have a sit down vanity. I am not an extensive makeup user, and this works for me. The lighting is good. I have never tried to accommodate different lighting for my makeup. That's too much to ask of me, lol....See MoreAdjustable bed - bedskirts?
Comments (11)Our adjustable bed base is different from yours. It is quite a bit thicker, and upholstered/padded, but with metal legs. You can attach a headboard and footboard to the base. We added our headboard but do not use the footboard as we have a largish chest at the foot of the bed. I do not like underneath the bed to show. I had a bedskirt custom made it's the flat pleats and attaches with velcro. Works great. As I mentioned in your previous thread, we do not adjust the foot of the bed, just the head. Also, our bed is normally left flat, unless we are in it, so when the bed is not in use, it's made and the bedskirt looks normal. Honestly, I've not looked at the bedskirt while the head is up but adjusting the base doesn't pull the bedskirt out of place. Hope all that makes sense. LOL...See MoreBest sheets for adjustable bed
Comments (5)We had the same difficulty with our king size bed sheets. Despite fitted sheets with nice long elasticized corners, they still pop off when my rather large and heavy spouse rumples around in the bed. So far I have found that pinning a large locking top diaper pin( lucky to find an old stash!)through the sheet and onto the mattress cover at bottom of each corner and under the mattress keeps everything in place. Previously tried elasticized straps, but too much fiddly hassle. Every store I visit that sells bedding has a separate display of various devices to keep sheets in place. That alone tells me it is a common problem....See MoreLyban zone 4
