Best sheets for adjustable bed

I recently purchased an adjustable bed and my fitted sheets do not stay on the mattress as securely as I'd like. They ride up and look like they are going to snap off, but this hasn't happened. The mattress is a tempurpedic and not extremely thick. I like all cotton sheets. Does anybody have recommendations?

Maybe just get ones that are made for deepr mattress and then they will be under the mattress a bit more.

We had the same difficulty with our king size bed sheets.

Despite fitted sheets with nice long elasticized corners,they still pop off when my rather large and heavy spouse rumples around in the bed.

So far I have found that pinning a large locking top diaper pin( lucky to find an old stash!)through the sheet and onto the mattress cover at bottom of each corner and under the mattress keeps everything in place.

Previously tried elasticized straps,but too much fiddly hassle.

Every store I visit that sells bedding has a separate display of various devices to keep sheets in place.That alone tells me it is a common problem.

Sometimes I wonder why we went with this split king bed LOL. It seemed like a perfect solution because my husband suffers from reflux and can pop his side up, but I swear it messes with the snuggle factor because I can always feel that split. My girlfriend has the "split head" king that looks like a tooth but only splits half way (I attached a picture below). She says she can feel the split too when she snuggles. And sheets my goodness just add another variable to the entire decision. I had to buy the split king cooling lyocell sheets from the mattress company and those cost $200. Granted, after spending a million dollars on this mattress and base it may not seem like a lot, but I still can't wrap my head around $200 for these "special sheets" when I paid half as much for my favorite super duper soft PeachSkinSheets for my old king bed. They were twice as soft and still kept my sweaty husband cool and dry (bless his precious heart). They just came out with a five piece split king sheet set that is under $100 but there are only two colors ...white and cream and I really need more of a wedgewood gray-blue :-( :-(. I've never tried the Target brand, but it sounds like they only have them at certain times during the year? << :-( I just checked online and Target doesn't have any listed right now>>. Even though they don't have my color, I think that I'm going to have to cave in and get a white set. Besides, white goes with everything (see, I can justify anything!). I am hoping they stay put but in case they don't, I have my back up Sheet Suspenders.....aha! Problem solved. Is there a consensus on the best lower-price ($200ish) linen sheets?

I can't compare the linen sheets because I do have the Rough Linen, but I have bought RH linen tablecloths. They are okay, but not as substantial as my RL tablecloths and sheets. I have added to my sets in bits and pieces after splurging on the RL summer bed set. One thing I can say about Trish's RL products is that I expect them to last forever-well at least long enough for my son and daughter-in-law to inherit them. :) Additionally, I received one item (summer cover) that had an almost imperceptible miswoven spot and they replaced it. I probably wouldn't even have noticed it had I not ironed it (I know, I know, I am supposed to embrace the rumpled look. Sigh). I told them that, too. They were profuse in apologies and sent a bread bag with my replacement. Lovely. I meant to write a proper thank you note, but ... So, maybe you can put together a set over time. I think it is well worth it if you know you like linen sheets.

Someone asked if people still embroider. Yes, we do, but it is one of those fine slow skill things that most people don't teach to kids and kids don't want to learn. I was taught as a child by my mother who was taught by her great grandmother. It is something that takes time, and artistry to do well, and sadly, most do not know what is done well so a machine can do simple stitches and patterns easily enough. Anything more on sheets, is a big luxury. In our disposable society, the time to do even simple hand edging on sheets or pillowcases, or a full design on cases is simply not what anyone wants to invest in. Truly good sheets and cases are very expensive and putting that together with the skill required to do the embroidery and the time to do it, is cost prohibitive and not what most people want. Embroidery is a labor of love these days, and ends up being framed if it is done really well. I have done pillowcases that took dozens of hours to complete, but they were for gifts to those that really knew what they were seeing. It isn't easy to put a price on something that takes so much time to create. Practically speaking, hand embroidery is also not something that stands up well to modern washing machines, dryers and detergents. When sheets were washed by hand or were much more substantial an investment and they were treated delicately, it was more achievable to keep embroidered linens. If you really want this kind of thing, look at estate sales and garage sales, but know that the sizing will probably not fit a modern bed. I buy embroidered linen pieces at garage sales for a quarter because I cannot stand to see such love, effort and skill, sent to a dump, or unappreciated. For me, it is heartbreaking to see pieces that took months of work, sitting in a pile on a card table, heaped in with machine made dollar store items. Hardly anyone knows the difference or cares. Sorry! Rant over. :)

Thanks so much for your replies. My current sheets have deeper pockets and a generous amount of elastic. I think the sheets are rated for 15" deep mattress and mine is 13". @rosiembog, I would think that the pin might cause the sheet to rip. This hasn't been a problem for you? So far, I haven't had the sheet snap off entirely, but the elastic has ridden up to within 2".

Consider buying a "Better Bedder" - it's a wide elastic band that holds the fitted sheet in place. They can be custom-sized to fit your mattress's thickness. Currently there exists no system to keep the fitted sheet continuously tight across the bed but, this product works for me (Senior with a king-size bed). Greetings,Rachel.

I have been using the locking top diaper pins for 3 plus years.

So far no ripping has occured.

I am careful to allow a generous amount of materials cushioning the pins, and the sheet depth is 15",so pins are tucked well under the corners.

Extra hassle when changing sheets,but way better than the previous elastic strap method.

Haha,sometimes when wanting a bedding color change( I have a huge sheet collection)

I will even use a flat sheet and pin it down.
