Fireplace makeover help!

Two questions: 1) Please help us redesign this fireplace! Our style is vintage glam, colours are neutral with classic gray paint. These are seller photos, not ours currently. 2) We are putting a Frame TV over the fireplace (sigh, husband's request). What size would you recommend?Thanks!! Pic in comments.

aktillery that fireplace is pretty, thanks for the mockup! That would be a lot of stone, and perhaps a difficult install in the corner to get it flush up with the walls - I'm guessing that would be on the very expensive side, but thank you for the idea because I did ask for all options! Errant, I really like that slate, it would look great with the accent wall color either same as the rest of the room or maybe a grey-blue. Would that be a flooring tile most likely? That's how I pictured doing the hearth - remove the raised thing (which I'm assuming is just plywood with tile over) and putting tile directly on the concrete slab, perhaps raised a little compared to the floating vinyl plank. For the insert itself I have the option of "traditional" with fake logs, or "contemporary" which has a glass bed. The latter tends to look like a gas insert when well done. I think that might be a better look than the fake logs which look pretty realistic when on but less so when the fireplace is off.

no gray please. are you prepared to remove the wood mantle to re-tile? something in a blue or green would look nice w/the wood. since you have a craftsman look going, try to stick w/a glazed ceramic or terra cotta tile. any place that specializes in craftsman glazed tiles will have these even a glazed brick. CleTiles has great choices. Or, do a nice cement tile.

Moving into a new home and the upstairs brick fireplace is a working fireplace was painted like a sandstone color and I was wanting to paint it white like the rest of the wall. And maybe put like a wood beam on the beam thats there or idk? My furniture is very vintage 1940-1960s style that will be in the house as well. Here’s a pic of the fireplace from old owners to present day. Also a pic of my living room currently until we move in this weekend just in case furniture style helps with decision of what to do. 😁 thank you any and all for some advice. I’m certainly outta my element here with makeovers of this kind.

Hi! I am looking for ideas on how to updated our fireplace. Willing to extended the mantle up on wall to the molding, paint the mantle a different color, or paint/update the brick somehow. Not looking for major renovations but just something I can do to freshen up the space. Thank you in advance!

Gotcha! Okay I was thinking that based on the style of what you said and the style of this photo. So you would like to completely reconfigure the design of the fireplace or just a low-cost project?

This was a job we completed using porcelain tile to update this fireplace front. I think it has a vintage look to it and it keeps the gray tones like you mentioned. Also, I think it would look great with a frame tv above to keep a classy look to it.

If you are looking for a more dramatic change. This is a large format porcelain slab that was used to create a fireplace front. There's many different variations of porcelain colors too.

And you can mount a tv and speaker as you can see here on the slab as well.
