They are a pain! springroz - I'm in between the solar shade and the cellular shade. I like the insulation the cellular will give as well. We got all of our romans from jcpenneys and they were very reasonable during one of their big sales. Annie - are your shades bamboo? I would love to see a pic. Right now, I'm leaning towards a wood or fabric valance and roll-up solars or the cellular shades. I know the cellulars are great for insulating, how about the solars, any insulating benefits? Also, do the solars reduce the glare or do you think I'll still be squinting once the sun hits this window?

Hi Boopadaboo, sorry for delay, we were on a exhibition. The "fancy" triangle rug is a nomadic design. I am not sure if i understood you correctly, but if you need two more rugs + the current navy blue rug then i would NOT recomend to keep the frame colour same as the inside field colour on all three rugs, it could get too old. I thought you was just talking about 1 more rug to add to your current navy blue rug, here then you would had to pay more attention to build a harmony. The one with the big "fancy" triangle is a very interesting original design, but it could be to much for this pupose, but i am not sure. The last one, the runner looks nice, could match with the blue navy, the cost of it is not so high as it is syntetic, so you also dont risk so much. If you would pay more for original handmade rugs, then you would need advices of the local rug dealer. If you have further questions, bring them up. Best, Rahim Farhadian

This is a lovely room! In a small space continuity is important. Before you add or paint anything else, paint the daybed and both chairs a dark brown, British Colonial as mentioned above. This way you can add the color you want here and there. The table in front of the daybed needs to be higher, like a tea table height. Use the chest on the side. To make the daybed more comfy, add old fashioned wedge pillows across the back and then the big pillows on top. the photo is better. I won’t change my advice, though. With the mirror gone and the chandelier hanging lower, it will fill that space, and the black works with the black of the firebox. The brick shelves give you the opportunity to place art, tall and rectangular, on the shelves. Not exactly your fireplace, but close enough to give you a picture of my ideas. I noticed something else in my inspiration photo, which never occured to me…While choosig art with black frame, paint the white brick shelves black.
