What kind of chandelier would work best in this rustic living space?
I have tried couple of chandeliers in our vaulted living room space but not convinced yet. I am trying to find a piece that serves as the focal point and also provide some glam. Please help me out - what kind of chandelier would work in my space? Photo attached. Thanks in advance!

I’m suggesting something like this orb because the black iron works with the ceilings and the crystals are bright and lighter in feel to work with the white washed brick.
Hang it as low as you can so that it replaces the empty center left by the mirror.
The brick shelves need different decor, as well. Framed art leaning…one per shelf.

Comments (4)Benches are great for kids and I suggest having only one bench if you really want it and putting chairs at the head and end of the table along with chairs on the opposite side. You want to think about if you have guests or relatives over with health issues. Well made chairs with backs work best for them! Comments (9)I think that my inspo pic just crashed into reality. I'll start looking for a low-pile carpet with muted colors and/or an indoor/outdoor rug. I've added some pics of the other half of the room as I was putting it together. The major furniture pieces are the same; the office area is being used as a de-Christmasing staging area and I can't take pics right now. If the new mirror was too high, just wait for this one. Yikes! In my defense, there was a tall piece of furniture below the mirror with the gold frame. When I moved the piece of furniture, I didn't lower the mirror. Now I have the inspiration to do it! I really loved the look of the shag rug for the hot minute that it was clean, but I think my inspo pic won't stand up to every day life. Comments (22)Wow, so excited to see such good and varied inputs on my request! Thanks @Flo Mangan - I am now certainly going for a ladder shelf for the corner. I am not sure of moving the desk away from its existing place for precisely the reasons @functionthenlook mentioned - my desk job can sometimes result in 8-9 hours, and I do plenty of video calls throughout the day. So not only is it nice for me to have a view (which BTW Flo is right, it is limited since the windows are a bit above my eye level (photo of the view below)) but it is also pleasant to have light on my face. Further, the remaining space in the room comes in handy when the occasional extra guests stay over and the sofa beds need to be pulled out. I like the Ikea Krusning... it looks like a flying meringue :) and has such a light, artistic, ethereal feeling. It goes well with a soft white bulb for a warm glow.

With the mirror gone and the chandelier hanging lower, it will fill that space, and the black works with the black of the firebox. The brick shelves give you the opportunity to place art, tall and rectangular, on the shelves.
Not exactly your fireplace, but close enough to give you a picture of my ideas.
I noticed something else in my inspiration photo, which never occured to me…While choosig art with black frame, paint the white brick shelves black.
