Do the island in "Repose" : ) The finish will be different than the rest of the house wall color. Or go peppercorn and darker. Otherwise? II think very pale grayed greens can be a bit dangerous. ....: ) I think your wall color repeated on an island in satin finish? Also very nice.

@megs1030 The Kichler pendant in the picture is 15.75" Height x 10.50" Width. Island is 94"x 41" and ceiling height is 9 ft. Table is 48 in. This set will be replaced as well (the idea is to get something with a combination of white and brushed nickel or stainless still but same size). @acm Those look great. The island pendants and the nook light fixture are only 8 ft apart (from center to center). I'm wondering if switching from what I have now - mini pendants, 7" x 4" - to something much bigger as these Kichler ones (mentioned above) won't look too busy when combined with the nook. They look great but I don't mind finding something smaller if that is what it takes to bring the perfect balance.

Thanks everyone for the insights! The cabinets will be pure white. Sayboone, I think that idea will work great in the kitchen! I was nervous about the mixing of metal colors, but I agree that the contrast of the oil bronze will make the room have a little something extra. I like the cooler choices of the first few granite stone, but was concerned it would be to light for the kitchen. I'm glad to know that I was not too far off with choices that actually would have worked! I chose knobs, because I knew it would be much easier to replace with just one screw and not have to worry about spacing for longer or shorter pulls. I have also seen knobs that are almost like pulls. I'm hoping everything comes together nicely, hopefully closing on Aug 25. I'll be sure to update the thread with pictures once completed. Next big decision is what paint choices to make......

Jen, it really doesn’t. Our fixtures are all gold and the floor and island are warm browns which I’m sure helps. We have the entire dining room painted chantilly lace because we like it so much!
