We want to have a hood over the stove rather than microwave. We don't want the microwave on the counter. We'd also like a large pantry area. Thanks for the advice! I did consider red stools. What's not seen in my pics is a red glass lamp shade over the table and a red "eat" sign on the wall. I just thought the red stools might b too much. I thought the silver/gray would b a safe choice that wouldn't get old too fast. I'm thinking I'd like to try a weathered/white washed look on the wood table. Long story short, I have 2 of the tables. The one I'm actually going to work on already has a ruined finished on the top.
