Comments (5)Since you have brick, stone and Hardie you should be keeping the color palette monotone. The different surface types are busy enough by themselves, and you have multiple gables. Take some samples out to the worksite and look at them in daylight to see which one complements the brick and stone. I think there is a temptation when building a custom home to want to have everything you've ever loved in (and on) a house, but restraint is very attractive and will wear better over time. Comments (9)Ok, for the person who reads this years from now… replacing windows alone (cutting siding and adding hardie trim around) is actually 50k. Cheapest full hardie replacement option is 50k… windows are 35k - so there’s some cost efficiency if replacing the siding is worth it. we are in the part of the country excluded from LP Smartside warranty due to too much rainfall so it’s not an option....See MoreMagnolia Hardie Board - Birch Tree
