Yup, if one believes that a home should be "of its place", there are many better choices for the special Texas spirit and character than this Toll Brothers development, which could be located anywhere in North America. As you can see, the exterior of our house needs repainting. It is happening next week and seeing as though it is an expensive task that I have to live with for a long time, I would appreciate any advice/suggestions on colours. Because I like colorbond ocean blue and I do live at the beach, I was thinking of it for the roof gutters and I would like the house in a light/white colour. The colours I have considered are surfmist, white dune half, and white duck quarter (paint has to be dulux). I have absolutely no idea and I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on the colours. My house is approx 20 years old with beige window frames, so should they be matched? The front door will be replaced eventually but not this minute. Thank you.

If you want to keep the green trim, you could paint the white part a pale sage green. You already have a complementary color scheme, and so that limits you to red + green, or you could switch to a split complementary scheme, but that would probably get too busy. If you get rid of the green trim, then you have more options. The green part could be painted black or gray instead of white and still have more options.

@Sabrina Alfin - Well, that wasn’t my choice - it was my SO’s decision. We are basically renovating my entire house (he’s moving in with me) - and I basically have free reign to do whatever I want on the inside. So, I let him coordinate the back side. Seemed lime a good trade at the time. i wasnt theilled when I saw the drawings/plans for the covered patio area. I discussed it with him - and since the back of the house already didn’t really represent a ”colonial” style style, I gave in to him. It just wasn’t worth arguing over. I figured that I could change the detailing by roofline + paint cedar in furture if I decided to without spending a lot of $$. This way I get the kitchen of my dreams!
