This isn't a very good pic of him, but this is Emery, the old horse I rescued from starvation. And in case you don't remember him, this is his before picture. And this is Snoop, abandoned at the auction because he didn't have a coggins. Animal control picked him up, and the rescues rejected him because he was 30 yrs old and unadoptable. He needed a sanctuary but none was found, so he was going to be put down. I asked for him, as a companion for Emery. He is 32 now and they are inseparable.

Dedtired, that reminds of a pool at the nearby Jr college where I used to live. Concrete sides and bottom and people used to put turtles in there. No natural food for them. People used to come by sometimes and feed them lettuce or bread. I bought floating catfish chow and went every day to feed them. I was there one day, and a woman and a little boy were putting a baby turtle in. I said, "this is not a natural pond....what do you think it is going to eat?". She said, "Oh, I should have brought it's food.". Oh, give me a break!!! I am sure one of the big turtles ate it. There were 60 turtles in there. One good thing that came from Hurricane Harvey. It flooded and they were able to escape.

Shoes I’m considering as a Christmas gift for dad and possibly husband but in a different color. These are a lace ”look” but are slip ons. Should be good for those with arthritic fingers and those that want a cool comfortable in between shoe.
