Can you shave down the popcorn ceiling lol? I think that’ll make a massive difference. Go with a rectangular round cornered gold mirror. It’s also a great spot for some art. Something green

A mrrow is probably the absolutely least interesting thing tht you can put in that space. Unless you have something really interesting to be reflected like a window view, it's just plain dull. Take your time and look at some nice framed art instead.
