A couple in the coral range that I didn't post photos of were Coral Majority and The Color of Wonderful. Both were badly eaten by grubs and had short scapes and not very many buds this year. I'm sure someone will post a great photo of Coral Majority.

Thanks, Debra. I think 'Road to Hana' could actually be listed as a polychrome. It is a blend of colors. But definitely coral as the predominant color.

I do like corals a lot. I hadn't thought of Bombay Silk as in the category, but it does kinda fit. Fernstone and Road to Hana are really nice.

Brad, glad to see you posted Smokey Mountain Autumn, I think it’s my favorite in this category from years past.

Here are a few coral daylilies in our garden.

Candy Coated Confection bloomed for the first time last year.

I don't recommend Carpathian Magic for anyone in a similar climate to us. It's not happy here, but I keep it to breed with.

Forever Rosemary might be more rose, but I think there are some coral shades there.

Fringed Catawba has never done well for us. It's been moved and if it doesn't shape up, it's out of here.

Gay Activist is sort of variable in color. It's always lighter than it appears in its registration picture. Sometimes it is more pink.

Serenade of Springtime is lovely but it's not overly happy here. It is a small flower as is Carpathian Magic, both by Elizabeth Salter.

We also grow South Seas and Coral Majority, both of which are great growers.

Coral is one of those colors that confuses me. Is it orange? Is it pink? a combination of both? I'll let others decide............. Sherry: Socco Gap was on my list for awhile as I've had fairly good luck with Hensley daylilies. From the pictures though I never could quite figure out what color it is. It looks interesting from you..........Debra: All of yours are pretty with the ruffles and all.. Can't pick a favorite.......Celeste: I grew Treasure of the Southwest the one year I had rust. I had to pitch it, but it was a unique color and another I'd have back IIHR (if I had room)......Nan: Forever Rosemary is one I don't remember seeing before. I like it..........Brad: You posted one of my favorites of yours: Smokey Mountain Autumn. Another IIHR. I really liked mine too when I grew it...........Maryl

Debra, I really like all your ruffled corals, maybe the one that stands out to me is Carefree Sunset.

Celeste, Treasure of the Southwest is such a gorgeous color. Mine bloomed so well, and love the form as well as color

Sherry, Fern Stone looks great, mine had a bad year and I missed its usual nice blooms

Here are some of mine

Aztec Beauty is a coral orange, looks more pink here. Not a heavy bloomer, but the color is superb and flowers are always perfection so I can't bear to part with it.

Choral Fantasy is a Maryott that does well for me, usually not splotchy as it is here and a loud mouth in the garden.

Coral Majority photo early in the morning, more pinky here too. My camera just does not capture the loud colors well

Malaysian Spice is listed as a spice rose, and looks sort of like that here, but often looks more coral to me

Waiting for Peace did really, really well this year

Nancy - I've always been drawn to Waiting for Peace and Aztec Beauty.

Hoosier Nan - All of yours are striking, but I think Sereande of Springtime is my favorite one.

Brad - Smoky Mt. Autumn is one of those timeless classics that always looks good.

Maryl - I think of corals as being a blend of pink and orange - a little bit of heat to spice things up.

Nancy, Coral Fantasy is my favorite. Such a nice shape and color.

Nancy: Bob Maryott produced some of the best forms on daylilies (for we non UF fanciers anyway). Choral Fantasy is absolutely lovely in your picture.......Maryl

Maryl, I agree about how nice Bill Maryott's daylilies look, I love his round, ruffled forms. They are hit or miss for hardiness here, many have dwindled away and disappeared. When they are good though, they are very, very good!

Lovely Corals, Debra, Marlee Jane is beautiful, Sherry, I like your Sailor Sky, Celeste, Flying Trapeze is a favorite of mine and Road to Hana is lovely. Nancy, Carpathian Magic is stunning! I really like it. Nancy, You know how much I love Choral Fantasy and am so grateful for the generous start you sent to me. Brad, I have always admired Smoky Mt. Autumn, but it disn't supposed to do well here, so I always admire yours.
