sub panel in shed...so many questions!!

I am adding a sub panel to a shed. I will have 2-3 circuits in the shed.
House to shed = 30ft
House to main panel (in basement) = 50ft

I will trench 1 1/4 inch pvc pipe @ 18 inches depth

Questions:

  1. I understand the sub panel must be fed from a 60amp breaker in the main panel (as I have >=2 circuits in the shed). If true I will have to use THWN 6-gauge in the exterior run (2 hots, 1 neutral, 1 ground). All Correct?
  2. When the 4 conductors enter the house they will come straight into the unfinished basement. I know I can’t run THWN in the basement without them being in conduit, which is pain to run alllll the way to the main panel? Can I put a junction box and just switch to 6/3 romex?
  3. I’m aware I need to drop 2x ground rods for the shed, unbond the neutral, and have a separate (bonded) ground bar. My question is, what gauge wire do I run from the ground rods to the ground bar in the panel? Also Is that bare copper?
  4. Any other inputs welcome :)
