I like the classic combo of dark shutters and red door as seen in the below insp pic. You can paint the shutters a very dark blue (nearly black) or very dark green almost black. Do remove the shutters on the lower window which are undersized for the window. The front door should be your accent color, whichever color you choose. The back door should blend into the siding color.

If you can, I also think the 1990's decorative arch above the lower window should be removed.

If you are a little bit more bold, then consider a golden yellow front door or a dark green door color.

I'm not a pro, but I fully agree with Denita. A bright red door and dark shutters with white or pale yellow siding on a house like yours is classic, classy, and timeless.

Thank you both! I hate that fan accent - hoping it can be removed and the white siding painted to blend in with what's there (since it's probably faded underneath). I'm already removing some other improperly placed, very random shutters around the house. Wonder if it will look weird to only have them on the two top windows...?

This is a different style house, but I'm posting it to show you that if your shutters are decorative and not functional then you don't need to have them on the windows that aren't designed for shutters. The house below has them on the upper windows and not on the lower except for the lower right.
