I went crazy trying to find the right red for my front and back doors. One faces south, the other faces north. Some paints were too bright, too pink, too orange or just plain ugly. I finally found the perfect red, it's a true red, imo and I love it. It's Cherry Cobbler by Behr from Home Depot. Sorry, I don't have a pic of it on my house. This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all.

I know you didn't ask about your landscaping and walkway, but your landscaping needs an update. It is too high and close to the windows on both sides of the walkway. Post in the landscape forum to see if they can give you a helping hand with a master plan. Your walkway is too skinny also. The way it is now, it accentuates how your front door is off center. Painting the front door and the sidelite the same color may help visually but the entire walkway needs to be widened IMO.

Thank you flopsycat1 - Yes. I thought the landscaping would be a job and a post all to itself, but it does need to be re-done. This is a house I am going to resell so budget is an issue, but curb appeal is a must. I want it to look clean and neat and inviting. What would you suggest after the tree trimming is done and all is cleaned up? I haven't closed on the house yet, but would like a plan. Obviously the consensus so far is no shutters, but do landscaping instead so maybe my thoughts should be there first.
