Bench for eat-in kitchen?

Would a leather dining bench work in this eat-in kitchen?

I ordered six armless ghost chairs, and only two arrived. The delay gives me time to change the design. I planned to keep four chairs around the table and store two for guests.

The table is 66.5" long. It looks round in the photo, but it's oval, and the base is light gray.

Instead of a ghost chair, should I place a leather bench on one side of the table? It would increase seating capacity and, perhaps, help integrate this modern eat-in kitchen with the rest of my more traditional furnishings.

The living room and dining room have French Country furniture, and the family room has Mid-century modern furniture.

We just moved in.
