Need help choosing backsplash subway tile for marble look alike quartz
Comments (22)Looks great! I am the worst at picking tile and I think they all look great so go with your gut... I did the white on white look and it was so white I ended up doing grey grout to balance it out. I think a grey tile probably would have balanced the counter better but I fell in love with that white herringbone I ended up doing. I also picked a matte tile and kind of wish I had picked something with a glossier finish for some more sparkle. Your choices look like they will do that and have more dimension. Good luck!...See MoreHelp me choose Quartz countertop
Comments (20)jhmarie thanks for the reasoning. i don't know the cost of either. i have a rough idea, but don't want that to be a deciding factor. if i like something i'm getting it :) your comment about finding it everywhere might be true! when they asked me at the stone yard if i wanted to hold the speckled slab they told me it was the last of 150 slabs brought in only 3 months prior but assured me they would better getting more because it was so popular, so that tells me that your right about a lot of people having it! i don't mind the speckled i was just looking for one that was more consistent as i thought i would have more back splash options, but maybe i'm getting ahead of myself?...See MoreReplacing countertops - choosing quartz colors
Comments (15)No to light gray - you can do a lot better. Charcoal grey would look nice as would the other dark suggestions above. Have you looked at leathered Steel Grey? I have hickory cabinets and just put in Costa Esmeralda -- it is a stunningly beautiful stone. My slab is fairly light and leans blue-green, but from what I understand there is a great deal of variation between slabs of CE. My kitchen is nowhere near being done, but here it is the day it was installed. Lighting is cr*ppy (lighting upgrade job already hired out...) but to give you an idea what it looks like on light wood cabinets:...See MorePlease help me choose quartz for bathroom...
Comments (5)It's hard to tell because everyone's monitor is different - you are on the right track. I prefer the lightest quartz. It provides contrast without looking muddy. Of course, you need to see it in your space and in your light to really make the determination. I prefer glossy tiles in showers as I think they are easier to clean and like the way they reflect light....See Morerhonda hoffman
